His exploration of the Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Cardinal Virtues unfolds through allegories, genre scenes, as well as portraits and self-portraits. Among these, personification plays a central role\u2014most notably in the titular piece of the exhibition, a depiction of the Florentine Dominican friar Girolamo <a href=\"https:\/\/polskieradio24.pl\/artykul\/3173915,savonarola-prorok-apokalipsy-wrog-grzechu-krytyk-papieza\">Savonarola<\/a>, embodying the sin of Wrath. A radical preacher of his time, Savonarola condemned all forms of sinfulness and prophesied the downfall of the world. In Cie\u015bniewski\u2019s vision, the monk\u2019s profile emerges from an abyss of darkness. This blackness becomes a chasm, a reflection of the fury, bitterness, and despair in which the enraged Savonarola is consumed.<\/p><h3>Language in Art<\/h3><p>The painterly language of Cie\u015bniewski\u2019s works acts as an additional narrator\u2014one that \u201cspeaks\u201d beyond the surface. Each piece in the series communicates through more than its chosen scene. The brushstrokes, the contrasts of light and color, and the textures themselves tell stories. A comparison can be drawn to another contemporary Polish painter, <a href=\"https:\/\/zacheta.art.pl\/pl\/kolekcja\/artysci\/stefan-gierowski\">Stefan Gierowski<\/a> (1925\u20132022), who in his <em>Malowanie Dziesi\u0119ciu Przykaza\u0144<\/em> (1986-1987), wy\u0142\u0105cznie j\u0119zykiem kompozycji, koloru, \u015bwiat\u0142a i faktury przedstawi\u0142 w dziesi\u0119\u0107 przykaza\u0144, w ca\u0142kowicie abstrakcyjnych obrazach.
