Art beyond borders. Polish creativity on the global stage.
At 407 Art Foundation, we are committed to promoting Polish contemporary art and supporting artists abroad. We believe in the international potential of Polish artistic voices and help them gain visibility at some of the world’s most important art events – including art fairs, exhibitions, and curated projects.
Our goal is to create meaningful connections between the Polish art scene and the international art world. We want Polish art to be present where key decisions are made, where curators, collectors and institutions shape the future of contemporary culture.
This is not only about cultural promotion – it is about building recognition, trust and long-term value for Polish artists.
What do we support?
The International Art Promotion Program focuses on three key areas:
Participation in international art fairs
We support artists and institutions in taking part in major international art fairs such as Art Basel, Frieze, Liste, Artissima or Viennacontemporary.
We offer promotional, strategic and organizational support to ensure that Polish art is represented professionally and visibly in the global art market.
Participation in prestigious exhibitions and art projects
We co-organize and support the presence of Polish artists in important international exhibitions, both solo and group.
We help connect artists with international curators, galleries and institutions, and assist with the production of events that increase the visibility of Polish art abroad.
Promotion among international collectors
We work to introduce Polish art to international collectors, galleries and institutions. Through presentations, private viewings and cultural events, we aim to build lasting relationships and broaden awareness of Polish contemporary art as a valuable intellectual and cultural proposition.
Who can apply for support?
We consider applications from:
Independent artists who:
have been selected to participate in a recognized international art event (art fair, exhibition, biennale, competition),
are not currently represented by a commercial gallery,
hold Polish citizenship,
and possess a degree from an accredited art academy (in Poland or abroad).
Galleries, institutions and cultural organizations participating in international events and seeking support for non-eligible costs, such as:
transport and logistics,
artwork insurance,
technical and production staff,
printing of promotional materials,
exhibition coordination.
What documents are required?
To begin the application process, we require the following materials:
✅ A project or exhibition concept (max. 1 page),
✅ A confirmation of participation in the event or proof of selection,
✅ A detailed budget including cost breakdown and a list of co-financing partners, sponsors or collaborating institutions.
Visibility and partnership
As a co-financing institution, 407 Art Foundation reserves the right to be visibly credited for its involvement in the project.
This may include the Foundation’s logo on printed and digital materials, curatorial acknowledgement, banners, press mentions or other suitable forms depending on the event format.
Our support is not only financial – we aim to build long-term value through collaboration, shared standards, and a consistent, high-quality international presence for Polish contemporary art.
