New Artistic Projects

Discover The Key Program of 407 Art Foundation

The “New Artistic Projects” program is a long-term initiative of the 407 Art Foundation focused on developing original exhibitions and artistic concepts rooted in the work of contemporary Polish artists. It is a curated space where artists, collectors, and culturally engaged audiences come together. The goal is to present artists in a new context—through storytelling, thoughtful curatorial vision, and well-crafted exhibitions. This approach supports the Foundation’s mission to promote Polish art, culture, and creative talent.

Unlike traditional galleries or commercial auction houses, the 407 Art Foundation does not simply exhibit existing works. Instead, we co-create new curatorial projects in close collaboration with artists. As a non-profit organization, we provide collectors with direct access to artworks, without the additional commission costs typically charged on the market. In galleries, this can reach up to 50%, and in auctions, buyers and sellers often pay 20% each. Our model allows collectors to acquire works without paying market-standard fees.

Each exhibition is treated as a distinct project. We take on the role of lead or co-curator, developing the narrative, selecting artworks, and building a meaningful and cohesive experience. Our goal is to help audiences engage deeply with each artist’s work.

Support for Artists

All projects are fully financed by the Foundation, covering:

  • fees for curators and expert collaborators

  • technical production, installation, and logistics

  • catalogue design and printing

  • video and photo documentation

  • organization of the exhibition opening and related events

Exhibition Galas at Złota 44

Every March, the Foundation organizes a gala opening at the iconic Złota 44 skyscraper in Warsaw as part of our original “Art at Złota 44” series. This prestigious location gives each event a sense of importance and exclusivity. For the first month, exhibitions are available only to invited guests—collectors, critics, business partners, and supporters of the Foundation. This gives artists the chance to engage directly with those who are actively building their collections in an elegant and private setting.

In addition to the vernissage, we organize curator-led tours, one-on-one sales, and early previews for existing collectors of the artist’s work. Afterwards, selected exhibitions are presented in other cities and internationally to reach wider audiences.

How to Apply

Participation in the program is free. To apply, artists should:

  • Submit a portfolio with a selection of works from the past three years and a short description of their creative goals or themes they explore in their art

  • Include a brief biography describing their artistic journey (maximum one A4 page)

What Happens Next

Shortlisted artists will be invited to an in-person meeting with the Foundation team at their studio. A curatorial board—comprising the Foundation’s founders and invited experts—will then select artists to move forward with the concept development phase.

We only sign formal agreements once both sides are fully aligned on project goals. At this stage, we are primarily interested in projects in the fields of painting, sculpture, and photography. Please note that the entire selection and preparation process can take between 6 and 12 months, not including exhibition production time.
