Promoting Polish Art Abroad – From Concept to Implementation
The project ART FROM POLAND to Dubai & London 2026 is one of the key initiatives implemented under the 407 Art Foundation’s programme “Promotion of Polish Art Abroad.” Its aim is to create real opportunities for the international presentation of works by artists from Poland and to build a lasting presence of Polish contemporary art on the global collectors’ market.
For the past three years, the 407 Art Foundation has consistently pursued a strategy of supporting artists from Poland by facilitating their participation in prestigious international art fairs, exhibitions, and curatorial projects in major global art centres. The ART FROM POLAND initiative aligns directly with these objectives, serving as a bridge between the Polish art scene and the international community of curators and collectors.
ART FROM POLAND – Project Framework
The project Art From Poland to Dubai & ART FROM POLAND to London was conceived as a multi-stage selection and promotional programme, with the following key objectives:
introducing selected artists from Poland to international markets, particularly London and Dubai,
increasing the visibility of contemporary Polish art among international collectors and institutions,
building long-term market and reputational value for the participating artists,
promoting the diversity of artistic approaches and techniques characteristic of the Polish art scene.
As part of the 2026 edition, the Foundation opened 10 places for artists, thereby implementing the practical goals of the programme “Promotion of Polish Art Abroad.”
Call for Artists – Scale of Interest and Selection Process
The ART FROM POLAND Call for Artists, announced by the Foundation, attracted significant interest from the artistic community. Over 400 works were submitted to the project, representing a broad spectrum of artistic approaches, themes, and techniques.
The selection process was conducted by a Curatorial Committee chaired by Aron Pudełko, and involved a multi-stage evaluation of submissions based on the following criteria:
artistic quality,
conceptual coherence,
international potential,
suitability for presentation on foreign markets.
Selected Artists and Represented Media
From among all submissions, the Curatorial Committee selected artists including: Nina Dziwoki, Beata_BT, Iwa Kruczkowska, Klinger ceramique, Kaja Tarłowska, Marta Rynkiewicz, Justyna Adamczyk, Magda Kwapisz Grabowska, Aliona Kryshtofik, Jonasz Koperkiewicz, who were subsequently invited to present their work in London and Dubai as part of the ART FROM POLAND project.
The group of selected participants includes:
11 professional artists,
1 non-professional artist – reflecting the Foundation’s open approach to formal artistic education and its focus on artistic quality and authenticity.
The represented media include:
painting,
sculpture,
ceramics,
collage.
This carefully curated selection allows for a multidimensional presentation of contemporary art created by artists from Poland and highlights its formal and thematic diversity.
ART FROM POLAND as Part of a Long-Term Strategy
The ART FROM POLAND project is not a one-off initiative, but an integral part of the long-term strategy of the 407 Art Foundation, aimed at strengthening the international position of Polish artists in a sustainable and meaningful way.
The Foundation focuses not only on the promotion of individual events, but above all on building lasting relationships, shared standards of cooperation, and the recognition of the ART FROM POLAND brand as a mark of quality representing Polish art abroad.
Acknowledgements and Next Steps
The 407 Art Foundation would like to extend its sincere thanks to all artists who participated in the ART FROM POLAND Call for Artists. The high number of submissions and their exceptional quality confirm the strength and potential of contemporary art created by artists from Poland.
