Warsaw, March 9, 2024 – The prestigious Złota 44 skyscraper hosted a unique artistic event, inaugurating the activities of the 407 Art Foundation. The vernissage of the “Złote Kobiety” exhibition by the talented Katarzyna Chmiel gathered the crème de la crème of the art world, including critics, curators, museum professionals, and art collectors. Among the guests were also residents of Złota 44 and the women who inspired the Foundation and the Artist to create a limited series of 10 portraits.
The exhibition, part of the “Art at Złota 44” series, surprised everyone with Katarzyna Chmiel’s extraordinary approach to portraiture. Unfamiliar with the physical features of her models, the artist relied solely on descriptions of their character traits, creating works that with emotional depth revealed the essence of each woman portrayed.
An elegant red carpet and a champagne toast complemented the atmosphere of this exceptional evening, where art and life intertwined in an unprecedented way. Emotions peaked when the women saw their artistic likenesses for the first time, showcasing how profoundly art can resonate with personal stories and characters.
The “Złote Kobiety” exhibition not only marks the beginning of the 407 Art Foundation’s activities but also highlights the power of art in evoking deep emotions and building unique, personal histories.
