An Intimate Celebration of Women at Złota 44
We invite you to the extraordinary exhibition “Golden Women”, held at the prestigious Złota 44. Organized by the 407 Art Foundation, the event celebrates International Women’s Day with a tribute to strength, success, and character.
The featured works are portraits of ten inspiring women, all residents of this iconic building. Artist Katarzyna Chmiel captures their essence through intimate and symbolic paintings that go beyond physical beauty.
Katarzyna Chmiel’s Unique Approach
Curator’s words perfectly summarize the project:
“The ‘Golden Women’ project presents the Złota 44 community in a subtle yet fascinating way. Art reaches the portrayed women intimately and directly. To mark International Women’s Day, I invited Katarzyna Chmiel, whose true passion lies in portraying courageous, unique, and almost legendary women.”
Art Without Names: A Bold Method
What makes this project exceptional is the creative method behind it. Katarzyna Chmiel painted the portraits without knowing the women personally. She never saw their photos or knew their names. Instead, she worked from character descriptions alone.
On the other hand, the models had no idea how they would be portrayed. They didn’t know which colors or forms would reflect their personality. This dual anonymity added authenticity and spontaneity to the final works.
A Tribute to the Soul, Not the Surface
The “Golden Women” series goes far beyond visual representation. It celebrates inner richness, individuality, and personal strength.
Each portrait highlights unique personality traits through color and texture. Katarzyna Chmiel uses shades and tones to bring emotional depth to each piece. As a result, viewers are encouraged to reflect on what truly makes someone extraordinary.
Don’t Miss This Powerful Experience
This exhibition is not just about art. It’s a celebration of women, identity, and emotional connection. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the power and beauty of the “Golden Women” through the visionary lens of Katarzyna Chmiel.
